In order to cope with the demand for natural gas by consumers located in remote areas and difficult to reach, and where the installation of the pipeline was not feasible, the Matola Gas Company introduced for the first time on the African continent, the so called "virtual pipeline.” In a "virtual pipeline," natural gas is compressed (CNG) in containerized modules and transported by road to the user.
Thus, industries located in areas not accessible to the physical pipeline can take advantage of benefits of natural gas via the "virtual pipeline," designed using the latest security technologies and satellite monitoring.
With the development of compressed natural gas (CNG), Matola Gas Company also introduced, in the local market, for the benefit of car owners, natural gas for vehicles (NGV).
